APPLICATION SUMMARY
In September 1996, this dairy plant installed a Sebright Products Model 4030X High Density Extruder. The reasons for changing from their current system to the Extruder system included:
- Increased enforcement of local wastewater disposal regulations
- Material going into the compactor was too wet to be accepted at the disposal facility
- Unacceptable performance from old equipment (leaking, breakdowns, poor dewatering capability)
After the Model 4030X Extruder was installed, liquid recovery from the waste stream was doubled, resulting in loads that were substantially drier, thus conforming to Subtitle D Regulations for landfill disposal. General housekeeping was improved, labor savings in the disposal of returned products were realized and outdated equipment was replaced with state-of-the-art equipment that will provide excellent service well into the next century. All of these goals were met, FOR LESS MONTHLY COST THAN THE OLD SYSTEM!!
