Successful Startup of Bright Technologies 1.7 Meter Skid Mounted Belt Press
A municipal wastewater utility in Louisiana had a sludge disposal problem and knew they needed to dewater their sludge to bring their disposal costs down. Without dewatering equipment their only disposal option was to have 5,000 gallon tankers haul their sludge to a land application site. By dewatering their sludge and making a stackable, dry sludge cake they can now dewater up to 30,000 gallons of sludge which is hauled off in a single 30 cubic yard container to be land applied. Since a roll off truck is less expensive and more fuel efficient than a semi tanker each load is also a less expensive disposal cost after dewatering than a single tanker.
The very first container load resulted in the processing of 30,000 gallons of sludge. Quote from company, “This was accomplished in less than 5 hours of press operation. Needless to say the folks at this utility were very pleased with their new Bright Technologies dewatering system.”
